Scenes show parents promoting their children’s language development during everyday activities such as bathing, grocery shopping, cooking, and working in the garden. Parents discuss and demonstrate their approach to language
learning through family and community interactions.
An original corrido by singer–songwriter José Luís Orozco, poignantly carries the message that parents are the most important teachers of their children. The video includes expert narration explaining the stages of early language development, and a model session of a speech therapist working with a parent and child.
